Humans discern symbols effortlessly. Computers don't. SimplyCount, a bootstrapped venture founded in 2020 by two science and technology enthusiasts, emerged from exactly that gap — and from watching skilled estimators lose nights tallying receptacles, fixtures and switches by hand, one miscount away from a lost bid.
Drawing on backgrounds in research, academia, and hands-on construction, we built SimplyCount to do the tedious part — find and mark every symbol on a plan set — while keeping the judgment, and the number, with the estimator. Run it on-prem so your drawings never leave your device, or in the cloud with nothing to install — you choose how it's deployed.
A count you can't defend isn't a count. If it isn't verified, we show it as a floor (≥) — never dressed up as a total.
Your plans are yours — you decide where they live. Run SimplyCount on-prem/offline (encrypted, inside your firewall, nothing uploaded) or in the hosted cloud. We never force your drawings onto a server you didn't choose.
The tool assists; you decide. You review and sign off on every detection. SimplyCount does the tallying, not the bidding.
