Acceptable Use Policy
The short list of things you agree not to do with SimplyCount.
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes conduct that is prohibited when using the SimplyCount service, desktop application, and website (the "Service"). It is incorporated into the Terms of Service. We keep this short and reasonable: it exists to protect other customers, our systems, and the people whose data flows through the Service.
1. No unlawful or infringing use
Do not use the Service to violate any law, or to upload, process, or share content you do not have the right to use. You are responsible for having the rights to any plan sets or other materials you submit.
2. No harm to the Service or others
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure.
- Do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without authorization, except as invited by our responsible-disclosure process on the Trust & Security page.
- Do not introduce malware, or interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Do not impose an unreasonable load, scrape at scale, or circumvent rate limits or usage restrictions.
3. No abuse of accounts or licensing
- Do not share credentials or exceed your licensed seats in a way designed to avoid fees.
- Do not circumvent or tamper with license verification.
- Do not resell or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted.
4. No misuse of outputs
SimplyCount produces assistive counts that you must review and verify. Do not present unverified counts as guaranteed totals to third parties in a way that misrepresents what the Service provides. You remain responsible for your bids and estimates.
5. No harmful, deceptive, or abusive content
Do not use the Service to store or transmit content that is fraudulent, deceptive, harassing, or otherwise abusive, or that infringes others' privacy or intellectual-property rights.
6. Enforcement
If we believe your use violates this AUP or threatens the Service or others, we may investigate and take action, which can include throttling, suspending, or terminating access. Where practical and lawful, we will give notice and an opportunity to cure, but we may act immediately for serious or ongoing issues.
7. Reporting
To report abuse or a suspected violation, email infrastructure@simplycount.com. To report a security vulnerability, see the responsible-disclosure section on the Trust & Security page.
